Catching a ride the next day was easy again, and after 3 hours with 2 Jehovah's Witnesses we arrived in colorful Campeche.

It's a really beautiful town and right away we decided to stay there for more than one night. It was a Saturday night, when we arrived, just in time for a carnival celebration.

We headed to the malecón to see the parade, dance in the middle of the street, learn skateboarding from passing by teenagers, jump on the back of the truck to go clubbing... Crazy night! I came back with both of my knees bleeding from tripping on a rock, my foot swollen from dancing. Unfortunately my camera decided to hate me the next day and all the pictures we took that night are gone...

We spent a really relaxing day in Campeche and the next afternoon, after trying pan de cazón (local specialty), we started walking (me still limping) to an exit road for Escárcega. We weren't even trying to catch a ride yet, when 3 handsome guys stopped by and offered to drive us out of the city. For a second I even considered staying in Campeche for one more night, cuz they totally looked like we would get along so well :)
