My plane from Miami was 2 hours late, and when I finally walked passed customs, it felt really good to see Asia’s face again. Driving through Panama City was quite impressive: it looks much more civilized than the other Central American capitals, but at the same time it keeps the colonial feel in some parts.

We were staying a one of the best hostels we had been to so far, Luna’s Castle, where we met a really outgoing Irish girl, Ciara. We joined her for a trip to Miraflores, where we saw boats pass through the locks of Panama Canal - the whole thing is just SO impressive!

Then we went for a nice walk on Amador Causeway lined with palm trees, and with the view of the Canal on one side and the Panama City skyline on the other.

The next day we were leaving at 6am for a boat ride to Colombia, so we decided to stay up all night and update the blog, since we were really behind already, and we were going to be away from civilization for the next 5 days...
